I don't even know why it took me this long to find your writing, I really, really love it.

I love how light and fluffy this is, but there's strong underlying messages and it's really poignant. I also love how everything's familiar: from the magnet train to the champion prospect.

I love how you built up Red's character through first impressions despite the fact that they used to be best friends. And this is just so relatable because yeah, after you lose in touch with someone, you really do forget them.

And again, what gorgeous lines:

After all, despite what Leaf says, the only possible alternative is rejection, and even if Red holds himself a little further, shows up a bit less often, it's better than never being able to see Red at all.

Stunning.

The ending was perfect. You brought in the childhood they lost together and made it whimsical and sweet and just the perfect way to end it.

Basically, I loved this. ♥
