;_; I got teary reading this, I love war stories. The thing that really got me was that she was doing this for her mother...and her fixation on the checks, leading to her realization that life is paid for by money.

I found it interesting that you chose trench warfare for this. It brings to mind stalemates, which are a wonderful example of the pointlessness of fighting, because neither side really gets anywhere. And that drawn-out style of the fighting itself parallels the length of the war so far. Or at least, that's how I see things? ^^; And now I'll stop rambling about warfare and get to the point (this is what happens when I play too much Call of Duty).

IN OTHER WORDS, this was beautifully written and please continue it! And if Kanto's in this, will we be seeing anything of Red and Green? ^//^
