She rises and falls like the tide, steady and powerful, always gone long enough that he forgets her majesty until she comes back to him.

She came to visit, his trainers tell him, while you were on Cinnabar this weekend. Then the next week - While you left to visit Mt. Silver. Then the Gym leader's conference the week after that, and then his grandfather's house for his sister's birthday.

If you know know she's coming, why do you leave? they ask him.

Green doesn't know.

He leaves her a note once, messily scribbled on the back of a grocery receipt. Stay. I'll be back in a few hours.

When he comes back, his receipt is gone and replaced with a pink heart-shaped sticky note.

Why don't you stay?

Green throws the note out.

He doesn't try again after that, just as she doesn't ask more of him. She waxes and wanes out of his life, sometimes gone for so long that he forgets she exists until a postcard, a note, a box of chocolates or a fridge full of groceries he didn't buy.

Green knows. He knows she'll always come back to him because the moon is unchanging in her need to always change. But Green is the sun that sustains her namesake, and without the sun, there is no moon.

But they are never meant to meet.

Ahahah, I love how you can't write Green/Leaf without it being angsty and not working. XD But I liked it! The scenes were cute. I will write more when I am not trying to catch a plane aaaa but thank you for writing it and I ♥ you! (And sorry for the insanely sappy prompt a;dlj;aejlraesr;

About the only picky crit I have is that it's "Majesty." Aside from that it looks great.

I think my favorite is the second scene, because as;lfjkaesr talking through notes, it's so intimate and distant and sad all at once.

*fixes* Oopsies. I didn't really like my word choice there anyway... I think I was trying to go for something else, and I typo'd. Like when you try to say two things at once.

I like the second scene too~ because. Stuff happens. Unlike the rest of the story which are just words HAHAHA.

It was magnificence, now that I think back to it, which is probably why I ended up with magesty oops. I was trying to think of words that described the grandeur of the ocean and... those were the only two that fit the context of the fic.

Well, when I do write fluff, I do make it as tooth-rottingly sweet so you might have a point. XD

You haven't posted anything for more than a week now. *pokes* Go publish that Green/Blue pieces.

I've never properly watched ALTA. elystia always tells me to... or did before. She gave me an abbreviated episode list, but it's... just so much to work up the effort to do.

I post once every week, not once every seven days. :< I'm forcing myself to finish that Silver fic that chuuni's probably forgotten all about, so you'll probably see that on Friday. Although right now I can't stop writing about Surge and Koga screaming at each other in the snow.

Avatar's surprisingly good, considering, you know, Nickelodeon. I didn't give it a chance at first but I really like it now. You can find episodes on most streaming anime sites; you should check it out sometime when you're not being eaten by life.

I kind of wrote it in 20 minutes @_@ Maybe that's why it seems swift. In my mind, Green does a lot of banal things. I always feel like there's some sort of charm in normality.
